1996 dodge ram 1500 4x4 5.9l v8

there is a hose on the top back of the transmission with a little male piece metal thing at one end . where does that end connect to ?????

I don't know what that is but I just need to know where that part goes it has a little ring on the side that indicates that it bolts down on something nearby what it goes to but we cant seem to find where it goes

no sorry I think it may be going to the front axle though I just don't know and google has been no help at all for about 4 hours

I think it has something to do with the vacuum for the 4x4 n I think it connects with the black and red vacuum
