Oil pressure gauge

Asked by LeeAnn Feb 20, 2016 at 08:18 AM about the 1996 Dodge RAM 1500 ST Club Cab LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1996 dodge RAM 1500
And I've lost alot of speed and the oil
pressure gauge goes down to 0 and the oild
light will come on. But when I let off the gas
for a second then give it gas again the
pressure will go back up. But a few minutes
later I'll loose it again.
And I can be going 60 MP. And if I start up a
on ramp I loose speed down to 20 or 25 MP

Well hope for the best on this one, first I would have the oil pressure verified with a mechanical gauge, that would tell the story. Hopefully it is good because the next issue could be just a plugged catalytic converter.
