What could cause my 1996 dodge ram 1500 to backfire

My truck keeps backfiring when im driving
but does not cut off or anything. I have
replaced the spark plugs and oil and stuff
and it still back fires.

Is it exhaust backfire? Maybe an exhaust valve? Maybe an exhaust system leak. You can check your timing chain, see if timing marks still line up? Sometimes oil/gas get into the exhaust can ignite. A long time ago, my old pickup backfired, sounded like a shotgun blast. People two blocks away were looking in my direction, I looked under the vehicle, my muffler was split from one end to the other. lol, good luck
