most dodges have that same problem, you really dont need to go that far, the easiest thing ive found is if you know your goin to use it, put your truck in 4x when your lettin it warm up, or put it in nuetral, put it in 4x, put it in reverse, then go forward, might have to do it a couple times, you also might check your vacuum lines and compressor?
yea its more than likely that diaphram that uses the vaccuum to engage the 4wd i believe warn sells a kit that turns that acuator into just an electric motor
really now? i know warn is a great offroad accessories company and all, but is that acuator worth buying?
yea id deff say that unit (If warns the one that makes it im not positive) would be worth it cause it gets rid of that vac operated thing thats prone to failing all the time
Thanks I will try the backing up and moving forward tos ee If I can get it to engage quicker. I was afraid it could be a linking issue and if it is I understand it is very costly to repair.
