If I take my front driveshaft off of my 1997 dodge ram 1500 5.9l v8 will it stop my t case from spinning cause I don't use 4wd and my tcase is making an awful clicking noise

The inner workings of the transfer case will still be moving. All the driveshaft does is transfer power from the transfer case to the front differential. As long as you don't engage 4 wheel drive the front gears in the case shouldn't be moving. If you're getting funny noises in 2wd you should get it looked at before you lose the whole transfer case.
OK is my frontdriveshaft supposed be be spinning in 2wd?
