Does anyone have an engine shop in San Antonio

Asked by Troy Mar 26, 2020 at 09:41 PM about the 1997 Dodge RAM 1500 ST Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just replaced the water pump for leaking coolant
but now my top coolant hose feels like just hot air
and my lower coolant hose feels cool like nothing is
running through it even at running temp. White
smoke is coming from the exhaust and back of the
engine including engine losing power when I let go
of the accelerator. I’m thinking just dropping it to an
engine specialist and praying for the best.

you could have a head gasket issue. White smoke is burning coolant. Any decent mechanic that is ASE certified can test your engine.
