1998 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9. If start out to fast, the truck will not get out of 2nd. I have to start out very slow and allow it to catch 3rd before I can really do anything. Help ?

If I start out to fast, the truck will not get out of 2nd. I have to start out very slow
and allow it to catch 3rd before I can really get going down the road. I have
changed the Governor Pressure Sensor, TCC Solenoid, and Output speed
sensor, I have changed the fluid and screen twice. Any ideas what could be
causing this ?

Internal issue ,look for a rebuilt.

i have a 1998 dodge ram 1500 sport with a 5.9 gas motor. im trying to figure out what trans i have in the truck. the tag under the hood says bd48. when i look that up it shows for a diesel. so im not sure what trans i have. i cant find any tags on the trans at all but on the bell housing does have 064-2 if that helps any 3 Answers

my 1996 dodge ram 1500 sometimes slips when starting off and then shifts hard, like a jolt. i can feel it also when i slow down the tranny downshifting slow, like its trying to catch up with the truck. im changing the filter and if i knew how to adjust the bands i would do that also. any thoughts? 5 Answers
