Dodge ram 5.2 V8 reliability

Im looking into buying my first dodge and would like to know how reliable the
5.2 V8 motors are? the one im looking at has 150,000 miles on it and i want to
know how long it could last.

If you need a truck to last a long time you should buy a lower mile vehicle. The old Dodge 318 is a proven design but unless you know it has been well taken care you really don't know how much longer it will go.

I have a 2003 Dodge ram van with a 5.2 and I hate it! It's got only 138000 miles on it and it's been a real pain to work on! It's got a P1391 blanket code and I still havent figured it out. Replaced the necessary censors and still...Same crap! Frustrated beyond belief! Sorry I wasn't any help! Sad really, I really liked this van!
