Interior lighting, Cab light

Asked by Deadpoolio8820 Jun 19, 2018 at 08:31 AM about the 1999 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie SLT Quad Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've had my 1999 Dodge ram 1500 for almost a
year now and ever since I've had it I've noticed that
my cab light only comes on when I turn to the key
into the battery on position and have my doors
open. If I have the truck completely off and the
doors are open the light doesn't come on at all.
Also if I leave my keys in the ignition when it's off
or leave the headlights on there's no beeping noise
that alarms me. Could these be a fuse issue?

Possible, however the "buzzer" or alarm as you stated is mounted under the dash on the drivers side. It could be bad as well. Has the pickup ever had body work done? A little research online can find a wiring diagram for your pickup. Find out what circuit the interior lights are on.
