"I have a 1999/2000 model ram 1500 4x4 with 5.5 in factory lift and I need to know if it would have come from the factory with 265/75r 16s or if i should go with the 225/75r 16s which is stated on the door. Because I believe that the 265/75r 16 spare is original.

Asked by Astro4321 Jun 10, 2015 at 11:33 PM about the 1999 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie SLT 4WD

Question type: Car Customization

stock tire sizes

1 Answer

Yes I understand but with a tire that has a larger circumference it changes the gear ratio which in turn put more strain on the transmission. The reason Im concerned is because I have heard that some of the dodge transmissions were light duty and weak.

Your Answer:

RAM 1500
