00 1500 4x4 trans light on temp is 302, lines to cooler are cold

....okay, this tells me there is blockage in the transmission coolant circuit...take the RAM into a tranny shop like AAMCO, have the fluid circuit checked for blockages, have the fluid changed and they will look at the magnet in the pan and change the filter in there...that should fix you (empty your wallet)~
