Do you have the number one spark plug wire in the right spot on the distrubutor? I had the same problem until i realized that i had the wire on the opposite side. Theres an intake and exhaust stroke when it comes to timing, and you need the wire on the intake side.

Hello yuri, yeah I thought of that and recheck several times. Hello full of regrets yes I actually replaced the timing chain and verified that the timing was at spec. I'm getting really good spark and fuel delivery

I still think the wires are mixed up. Did you take out the number one spark plug and have someone crank the engine until you could see the piston at TDC? If you have good spark and fuel then it has to be something simple

Hey yuri check the firing order I got 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2. And still nothimg

Its not the firing order. Its the rotor in the distributor. The rotor always points to the number one cylinder, so start from there. But before you do anything, turn the engine over until the piston in the number one cyliner is at top dead center, and wherever the rotor is facing in the distributor is where the first spark plug goes. They make videos on youtube as well

Had problems with 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, 5.2. Replaced so many things. In the end it was a faulty ignition switch.
