Clutch will go into gear but when I let off the clutch and push the gas it will not accelerate

Asked by GuruWM3F9 May 29, 2018 at 06:39 PM about the 2001 Dodge RAM 1500 ST LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

On my Dodge Ram 2001 1500 V6 standard I was
driving I dropped it from third into second cuz
traffic was slowing down and then put it into first
and then when traffic started to speed back up I let
off the clutch push on the gas and it wouldn't
accelerate. But I had no problem putting it into the
gears but it would not accelerate in any gears or
reverse just trying to figure out what's wrong. And
trying to find out if it's just a simple thing like the
clutch slipped out of place or something little
without having to get into the transmission
