When I get into the ram 1500 and start the truck, I step on my brake to pull the lever in gear andm will not move unless I let the insiode of the truck warm up, what's wrong

I start the truck, put my foot on the brake and push down, try to pull down shift lever and won't move until the truck at least inside is warmed up.
