when i'm driving down the road and I put it to the floor it don't down shift, and the motor will redline it, I also have no reverse. What is my problem? 3 Answers

My reverse went out, and when I'm driving a sertain speed and floor it it acts like it's not in gear, or not down shift and the motor will redline.

I had freion pulled out and a vac. Pulled on it and freion put back in and helped a little I could rev up a little higher but still kicked out

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 I'm not sure what is going on but when its cold it runs fine for about 5 to 10 miles then it starts knocking and sounding like the motor is about to go and dies 2 Answers

After about 30-60 mins it starts back up and runs fine again for another 5-10 miles its not low on oil or low oil pressure. If anyone knows anything I would really appreciate it.
