tranny slippage

When i start my truck up and put it in drive it does not go i have to wait a feww minutes to let it warm up then it seems to be okay,is this normall it is a 2004 4 x4 1500 5.7 hemie 4 door

    Tranny was completly emty i put in the reccomended 11 qrts. Now tranny seeping fluid and wont go into passing when in drive will get to 50 then whine out

    We have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.2. Tranny was working fine 2 days ago, yesterday it wouldn't shift in to OD. The OD on/off light in dash works when you push button. Any help??
