I have a 2004 dodge ram quad cab motor blew up
spitting water out the radiator while trying to start
it ...i found a motor out of a 01 dodge durango it
has the 16 tooth crankshaft ring cant figure what
mine is n if its not the same what do i need to do

Spitting water out of the radiator does not necessarily mean your engine is blown up. Have it checked out before installing a new engine. The fix might be just a few dollars.

4.7L magnum? You should be safe for 00 to 09 but it's crucial to rely on a shop manual and go by part numbers. They continually adjust specs for engines year to year so using parts from other years can cause issues. You're better off tearing down a motor then getting the parts once you see exactly what you need.

did have someone look at it tbey poyred water into the radiator after truck stalled out on was making a loud clinking noise it blew all anti freeze out overflow hose but after he got it to his shop he filled it up i tryed to start it n it would not ..just blew water out the radiator were the cap goes
