blow fan won't work

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Dodge ram 1500 blower fan worked on only two high speeds for over a year.
Recently the a/c condenser fan quit (cooled when I was moving but not when
standing still). ordered new condenser fan. Meanwhile the blower fan started
just quitting but would come back on if you turned it off and back to high. That
lasted a few days and quit completely. I replaced the resistor and nothing
happened. I replaced the blower motor and nothing. What next????

I have already replaced the resistor but it didn't do anything. Also replaced the blower motor itself. No change, still doesn't work.
Sometimes these are the switch on the dash. Have you checked the wiring to this also. The button on the dash is a circuit board attached to switches most of time.

Most of what I had read suggested that this sounded like a failed resistor. I had really been avoiding the task of pulling the dash apart but have since done so. The fan speed controller is part of a module that includes all of the heat and A/C controls. I am frankly not sure how to test the integrity of that module so I am replacing the whole module and we'll see if that works. Thanks for your help. Waiting for the part....
