Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need a driveshaft for a 2004 dodge ram 1500 crew cab. Each time I shop for
one ,only front driveshafts come up. The bad shaft came from under the truck
bed ,leaving me to think it would be a rear shaft. What am I doing wrong? Is
there 2 seperate shafts at all or are the front and rear the same? They don't
look thw same.HELP

Dorman has a Rear Driveshaft. Found one on this site: http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/2004/dodge/ram_1500/driveshaft_-ar-_axle/driveshaft.html Part Number: 17861-05629392; Notes: Drive Shaft; Position: Rear You may find a less expensive one at a salvage yard. Make sure you select 2 WD or 4WD and you will need to know the wheelbase of the truck.
