I have an 04 dodge ram quad cab 1500 4 wheel drive and when it has sat for a couple hours when you start it the oil pressure gauge doesn't move causing the check gauges light to come on.

Could be bad oil sending unit,or your oil is getting thin or low if this is not issue may be bad oil pump.

Oil shouldn't be thin and isn't low. Just changed oil a couple weeks ago. I will check the sending unit first. Thanks
