Check the towing specifications for the truck, in the manual or in the plate located by the driver's door post. If memory serves me right, this truck with the 4.7 engine and automatic 5 speed transmission has GWTR of 6,400 pounds. In any case, do not exceed the maximum specifications and try to under load if possible.

The trailer probably weighs around 2,000 pounds so factor that into your calculations.
