2005 dodge ram 1500 4.7 4x4 sLt.

I have a 2005 dodge ram 1500 4.7 4x4 sLt. the other day I went to park it and had to put it in 4x4 as I was backing up it just stopped on its own so I tryed going forward and it did the same thing so eventually it came out and I parked it . today I went to leave to go to work and it was making this would the whole way to work it sounded like it was coming from the rear but wasn't sure the only way I can descripe the sound is if you would put a pop can on a bicycle tire and was riding it around making that sound any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

look under the vehicle and see if anything is stuck in the rims or drive line.

I jacked it up yesterday from the rear and started it put it into drive and I didn't hear anything . I looked at the unverisals in the rear and there good . so I don't know if it could be a CV axle or something like that in the front I'm clueless at this point .
