Won't start until OBD codes are erased and placed in neutral.

Why do I have to clear codes then place in neutral for my 06 Dodge ram 1500 to start? The truck doesn't have any codes either. Runs great after that.It's like the computer must be cleared and it don't recognize it's in park. had the Neutral safety switch inside the tranny replaced. a buddy said he thinks the transmission has to be reprogrammed to the key or computer. Anyone ever had this problem with thier dodge truck.
