three things needed to start, fuel, spark, compression. Fuel Pump (P0230 to P0233) PCM (P0600 to P0606) Crank Sensor (P0355 to P0399) Fuel Pressure (P0190 to P0194) Chances are the Check Engine Light is not on, but you may find any of the following codes: P0230 to P0233 Fuel Pump codes P0600 to P0606 PCM related codes P0335 to P0339 Crank Sensor codes P0190 to P0194 Fuel Pressure Sensor codes

how many miles are on the truck? when was the last time plugs / wires were swapped out? try removing the air filter cover or see how clogged your filter is... make sure you have gas (seems obvious). Other than this, its really hard to suggest parts unless i knew more about whats been replaced / what the truck has been through (even a wet air filter could temporarily stop the truck from starting)...

also could be as simple as cleaning the battery posts and terminals. it doesn't take much corrosion to block the charge.

It could be your injectors bleeding off. I have a 2002 with the 4.7 and it had to turn over several times before it would start and was worse when hot or sat for a while. Mechanic replaced 2 and now starts easy.

Ok.. I have an 07,4.7 would not start, turned over, no lights, I had great fuel pressure, changed crankshaft sensor, and camshaft sensor, but nothing.. It was flooding out.. I took the fuel rail off, cleaned the injectors, the fuel rail was filthy, causing an injector to stick open.. So I clean them all, it ran rough for a minute then I ran it up the road it started running better.. And now is back to great! If you don't have one already I advise installing an inline fuel filter.

Same thing happened to my 2006 Dodge Ram. It was fuel pump. It started a few times when somebody tapped on the gas tank when I started it but after I would turn it off it wouldn’t restart. Took about an hour for my husband and neighbor to pull the bed off and replace the fuel pump. The fuel filter is part of the fuel pump on the 2006 Ram.
