I was on my way home from work and my Dodge Ram Mega Cab felt like it just went into neutral during a slight acceleration. I pulled over only to find that none of the gears worked and I had a wining noise comming from the vehicle when I accelerated. None of the gears worked, it was like I was in neutral the entire time. This is a 2006 with 82000 miles on it without four wheel drive. how is this possible?? We are experiencing weather in the teens in Chicago but this seems very strange to me. Had the truck towed to the repair shop which will be open day after tomorrow. Any ideas?? 2 Answers

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT with the 4.7. The plugs for the 4.7 have a reach of 3/4". I believe my mechanic may have installed the plugs for the 5.7 hemi which are 1" in reach. My truck went into the shop perfectly fine and came out with the engine knocking. Is it possible that the 1/4" difference in length caused the pistons to strike the longer, incorrect plugs hence, that caused the knock? The shop admitted to me that the wrong plugs had been ordered. When asked if it was possible that they may have installed the incorrect ones, they told me that the thread size wasn't the same. Well, truth be told, it is the same size thread. Thanks for any input! 2 Answers

I have a 95 dodge ram that I am having problems with no reverse. The truck is not worth enough to drop a lot of money on a new or rebuilt transmission. Im not a mechanic, but like to tinker. The truck had issues with forward gears but reversed was working, I didnt have the money to fix so I let it sit for over 3 yrs. I decided to tinker with it, I replaced the control solenoid, filter and fluid. now all forward gears work great but when I put it into reverse, It will back up slowly on its own, but if I give it gas it just revs up like its in nuetral and it vibrates like its trying to back up but wont go. Fluid level is good, nothing was found in the pan (very little shavings). Could it be air in the lines? bands need to be adjusted? or what? 1 Answer

I have a Dodge 2007 1500 Hemi 5.7L and it was in a front end collision, 1 day after I get it back the oil pressure went to zero and it's knocking. GEICO said it's a pre existing problem and won't fix it, but we never had this issue before? Any thoughts 2 Answers
