I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 5.9 gas engine. I'm not getting fuel. I was about to pull the pump, but decided to check if power was getting to the pump. It is not.

Can you hear the fuel pump running? Moderner diesels especially with high pressure HDI pumps, need a pre boost fuel pump, like modern efi petrol cars

Check , volts is reaching the ...pump connector. If not, time too problem hunt. Check volts at fuse box, is the fuse OK or does it keep popping. Really if fitted, is the earth connection okay? Do a cont test from relay wire to earth..... Check those simple stuff first.
