I don't understand your question. What do you mean by the heat range on the transmission? Normal operating temperature? Probably around 300 degrees fahrenheit or higher.

dunno what they are supposed to run at safely but i do know they can operate under some heavy loads ok. i towed another dually on the trailer with my 98 3500 dually and the 5sp got damn hot but didnt blow... i was worried somthing would mess up like the syncronizers...ive always overfilled my tranny by one litre too (pour into the shifter tree hole)
