2 Camaros same 3.8 having same issue, oil pressure is dropping at idle

I have a 2000 and a 2001 camaro both with the 3.8. Both of them have no oil
pressure at idle but it goes up when you raise the rpms. but the 2000 has a
knock as well.

could put a quart or two of 10w-30 or even heavier weight oil to get the pump to deliver better.
