Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2000 cavalier will start and run fine, but when you sit it off, it will not
start back.  You have to wait for an hour or so.  What is causing this

I ran drove it for 15 miles....ran like a Jewell...but when I got to my stopping point and shut it off.....it wouldn't start. If you hold the gas pedal to the floor, it will start

Do you have to hold the gas pedal to the floor even when it's cold? Was it a one time thing? How does it drive after you get going?

No...not when it is cold. It will start fine when it's cold. But, there for awhile it would start but if you touched the gas pedal...it would die.. It runs fine after you get it running

Has it been unusually hot where you live lately? I'm still thinking that there's a vapor lock. Try letting the engine idle for a few minutes before you turn it off next time. See if that helps.

Crank Angle Sensors have a habit of doing that.

On different vehicles it can be n different places. Being an American car, I'm not sure but you're mechanic can tell you. You should be even able to find out on Google. Thanks for the 20 Pts. Hope it works.
