Fuel gauge
Asked by Helpwithyaris Feb 22, 2016 at 04:43 PM about the 2007 Toyota Yaris Hatchback
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have 2007 Toyota Yaris and recently I had
some problems with my car. I had two
squares of fuel and my car died and lost all
power. I had it towed to a shop to be
looked at. When I got the phone call from
the garage they told me it was out of gas.
My question is could the fuel level sensor
be the culprit for my gauge reading more
fuel than what there really is

there is not an LED that turns red? to warn you "I'm thirsty, now"~ my wife calls them "mario bars"...the last mario bar turns red...and starts flashing....sounds to me the float in the tank float stopped floating~ will check for technical service bulletins or recalls~

I had this same issue happen 3 weeks ago! Did you get yours fixed? If so, what was the approximate cost? I am so irritated that this is happening and when I googled the problem there were several others who had experienced the same problem... some were back as far as 2008!
