2003 Camry will no start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Toyota Camry. I usually get my regular
oil changes and I got a new battery back in
February. However, I started my car a few days ago
and went to the store. I came back out and the car
wouldn't start. The next day I came back and
checked under the hood and my oil stick was really
dry. I poured a little bit of synthetic oil in there and it
still wouldn't start. When I start it, I don't hear any
sounds, not even a clock. All of the lights come on
and the radio works, but it will not start. Any
suggestions?

the computer might default if oil pressure gets too low , scan for codes , make sure batt. terminals are clean and tight and batt is charged

The battery is good and charged. I have a portable battery charger and my battery was at 80% so it's not the battery. Again, I did say that when I checked my oil, it was dry. I was due for an oil change in July. Someone looked at it today and said it's the starter because they checked the fuel pump and other things. Do you think the oil being dry might've been the reason it stopped starting in the jest place? I'm skeptical about buying a new starter and then it still doesn't work.

you need to see if power is getting to the starter , you may have a starter relay to check , get the oil in it and get it to turn over , unrelated things can go bad by pure coincidence ,, I guess you can hear the fuel pump when you hit the key ,

That's the thing. I don't hear the fuel pump. I put a little bit of synthetic oil, but the car turns on and it still won't start. My oil light never came on and there isn't any rattling or clicking sound. I'm going to buy a new starter and see how that works out.
