Mercedes Kompressor C230 not shifting out of 1st gear?

1999 Mercedes Kompressor
C230 won't shift out of 1st gear.
Anybody have any suggestions?

Your transmission is probably going out. If you have a dipstick check the fluid it might be low, but probably going out.

It's in limp mode probably and needs some TLC it's not a stick shift of it was you would have to change the transmission fluid wich is called a trans. Flush the try again don't rush out of first gear youll have to drive in first for 20 mins pull over shift threw all the gears until the trans lubrication then try again slowly it'll riv high after driving normal then it'll force it's self into second it gonna like to spoil out of first gear

The komperessor is way more intelligent then most people give it credit for just being honest

I know this because my Ford Taurus did the same thing limp mode after 20 mins in first gear because the transmission is relearning how you drive how high you want to rev out of first gear so try not to rev above 3-4 rpms because when it hits second gear it'll jolt into second gear like it has a heavy duty transmission but it's really heavy sport so do let her foil you
