water pump

HI My 2001 mercedes benz c240 has been showing low coolant and recently I
noticed a rattling sound from the water pump pulley one morning the car
wouldnt start. Im going to replace the water pump and coolant. should this
solve the problem or is there anything else I need to look out for. thanks
