How to fix a rough starting Mercedes Benz 2005 C230 Kompressor

When I start the car up after it’s sat overnight it
rattles, putts, jerks for awhile then it catches. I can
start it and go after that.

Sounds like timing chain and tensioner on their way out. Inspect chain, guides, and tensioner.
