2001 Mercedes 320 CLK seat control not operating forward & back

I have a 2001 Mercedes 320 CLK and the bottom lever that controls the forward & back movement of the seat does not work , but the other (2) levers headrest & tilt both work. What type of an issue am I encountering & any suggestion on how to repair it?
