My 2000 impala keeps turning off while I'm driving or parked. Took it to the mechanic they said it was the fuel pump they supposedly replaced it now the car is still doing the same thing

Could still be bad pump,replacement pumps, are bad all the time,meaning new pump is bad all so,the mechanic should be able to do a fuel pressure test to check the new pump,if pump is good,check the fuel pump relay.
