Benz are reliable but every vehicle is differrent depending on how it was taken care of. The repairs and Maintance can be expensive. For example 2 weeks ago I had to pay $340. to have my front breaks, pads, and sensors replaced where as if I had a Toyota or honda I would have paid half of that at the most!. But If you take good care of your Benz...change out fluids when required NOT NEEDED....dont wait til you need an oli change to change it it doesnt hurt to do it ahead of time same goes for all your other fluids if you keep them topped off and clean and every now and then put some exhaust and gas treatment in the tank your car will go longer with out giving you headaches
U just need the proper maintenance ! Its a bit expensive thou but its worth it ! I bought mine w around 70,000 miles & It was already pampered but I have to do my own maintenance incl the motor mounts, ball joints & tune up ! Cost me close to 3gran ! I am now at 100,000 & car is just superb ! Just change a busted bulb ! If its properly maintained like what "Ramirez" stated , Its a vehicle worth keeping ! I assure you, it will be well appreciated !
I owned Mercd S-class, SLC, SL for 40 years and now a 08 CLK convertible with only 20K miles, sitting in the garage looking pretty! I am a Mercedes and Porsche man. But they are not the most reliable cars, even worse are those Expensive Italian sports cars. But Mercedes are generally good cars with finer technology. I would recommend to check Consumer Reports yearly magazine about cars.
