How much does it cost for a new motor for my convertible

There is a hydraulic pump that operates the top, from what I see so far it is like $2000. Since it is a hydraulic pump it may be cheaper to find someone to fix it.

Check the "safety switch" pull the rear window all the way back, the switch is located on the left hand side..this signals the car it's Ok to lower the top. It's the most common issue and least reviewed by dealers etc. A proper scan tool (ViDis) will also indicate the problem. If it IS the hydroelectric system I suggest a reman or salvage unit $300-400
