Mercedes clk 320 2005 convertible

Asked by Hassan Aug 22, 2017 at 06:05 PM about the 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK 320 Cabriolet

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The top would open nice and smooth but when I try to
close it it'll fold up close on the front and when it's time
for the rear metal to go down it won't it'll just stay folded
up and won't go down to complete the operation. Any
suggestions?

I hate convertibles- (even though I own one)- just something else to go wrong- those solid steel tops are so easy- just sit there and shed rain- a convertible fabric top needs replacing on a regular basis- but when you have a retractable hardtop, the problems multiply- all you can do is take it to a mechanic and hope it doesn't cost too much- and next time, get a car with fewer trick doo-dads
