yes, i have command but still, nothing to set the time.

You need to go in to system setting and then time and date !!! Hope it helps !!!

I did that but it doesn't have a way to adjust the time. When I went to system setting, time and date.....the only thing I could do is adjust the time zone.

Is it a after manufactures fitted comand or was it factory fitted ? In box me on clkboy63@yahoo.co.uk It will be quicker !!!

I have the same problem.. The settings menu only has three items: Vehicle, Lightning and Instrument Cluster... No Time/Date menu ....

It's on the comand , you need to press setting on Comand then date and time and it's all there !!! Hope it helps

Hi! Thanks for replying! But I think my 2005 CLK 240 Avantgarde Cabriolet does not have the Comand system at all... Just a plain simple radio/CD player.. See the photos. I don't know either how the phone could be connected with Bluetooth, since there is no Comand system... But still there is the dial pad for the phone, which makes me wonder how I could attach the phone. I activated Bluetooth on my phone and configured it to publish it's availability to other devices, but the phone menu on MB just keeps displaying "NO PHONE".

Hi ville , regarding your clock yes it's not command !!! If I remember correctly your long black bit that sticks out the dial that resets the odometer , pull and twist , sure that's the way to set it !!! As for the phone , you need prewire , open your armrest and see if there's a connector in there !! If so you can either buy a Bluetooth module or a cradle that fits your phone from Mercedes !!! Hope this helps

Thanks again for the reply! I tried, but the shaft can not be pulled up... only pressed down to reset the settings to factory defaults. When pushed and twisted it does not turn the clock either. I'm suspecting maybe somebody has at some point updated the firmware to a new version and accidentally or toughtlessly updated it to a version that should be used with a vehicle having the COMAND-system also.. I did not either find any connectors inside the armrest. Maybe I need to check it from my local MB dealer Veho and see what they say. I just bought it from Germany and had it imported to Finland. Germany has more market and offering than Finland and the prices are also much lower there. But the car is so great to drive anyways so no big deal if I don't get the clock set. Just a little bit strange and I try at least to find out the reason why..

I've tried... but it only dims the instrument cluster lights. Would make sense that it would dim the lights when just twisted and set the clock when twisting while pushed down, but it doesn't have any effect on clock. Yet the clock is not broken, it is advancing within time but just is set to wrong time.

Press the menu button on the steering wheel then an arrow to call up the sub menus , press + or - to select time/date submenu .... Use the arrow again to select clock . Adjust hours and and confirm by pressing R or clock , then minutes minutes and confirm by pressing R then press + or - to set value !!! Press the R button on the left to confirm !!! The R button is the reset button on the instrument cluster !!! This is what it says in my hand book to do if Comand is not fitted !!! If you give me your e mail I could send you the page !!! Thanks for the reply again! But the heart of the problem is that the Date/Time menu is not visible where it should normally be according to the manuals. I found out that this might happen if the car previously had COMAND installed, and then for some reason it has been replaced with another system like Audio 20 that I now have there. Then the steering wheel controlled system still is missing the menus that were previously controlled by COMAND. I need to get the cluster reconfigured so that the COMAND is removed from the firmware configuration. Then the missing sub menus should reappear there where they should be. I will try to do it next week when the repair shops open after the Easter holidays. It should be possible using the MB Star Diagnostics system. I'm even thinking to buy that system my self since it would be interested to do some tweaking my self also and I'm considering to buy another Mercedes too and then could use it on that one also. An R, ML or GL would be great to own too!

Ohhhhh gosh !!! What a nightmare !!!! Good luck with that then . Owned plenty of mls !!! Awesome cars but gone bigger ith the Gl now this is the best 4wd by far !!! Can't fault it in anyway apart from fuel economy but with vehicles like these it's pointless even thinking that the fuel economy would be any good !!! I've never worried about it !!!

Hi! Update on this: the clock is now set :) The problem was that the car has originally had COMAND system, then for some reason somebody had replaced it with Audio20, but the cluster configuration still had COMAND. I took the car to a repair shop that used MB Star Diagnostics tool to configure the cluster to have Audio20. Then the date/time sub-menu re-appeared to the steering wheel operated settings menu. br ville

Yes, it is now sorted. It was a 5 minutes configuration and costed only 30€. I don't know why the Comand was swapped to Audio20... could be that the comand was stolen, or maybe the car dealer had needed the Comand for some other car who knows. I'm considering a second car now as a family car .. E sportwagon, R350, ML or maybe even GL, but can decide which one go for.. Need to do some test driving. Thanks for the interest in the case!

In response to the second car !!! A Gl is the way forward I own one and it is far far far better quality and build than the ml and r class ... If you do consider buying a Gl make sure it has full mb service history as there was a lot of recalls when new !!!

Set the time on a 2009 CLK350 from the stereo system settings within the stereo itself. Change the stereo time, and then the dashboard clock will change.

With Audio 20 installed, it was not possible to it like that. But I had the problem sorted out by configuring the car settings using MB Star Diagnostics tool. The configuration that needed to be changed was to tell to the system that the car has Audio 20 instead of COMAND. Then the clock setting re-appears on the steering wheel menu. The car has originally had COMAND but some owner before me has replaced it with Audio20 (probably because the COMAND had been stolen or something... I don't know the reason). The configuration anyhow still was having COMAND in the system configuration and that is why the Time/Date Settings menu was missing from the steering wheel menu

So now I can set the time normal way using the steering wheel menu.

Hello, I have the same problem on my 2006 CLK500 Cabriolet. The problem began when I installed a new main battery under the hood. Everything was fine before I cut the power to everything. After reconnecting the new battery, the clock reset to 12 noon/12 midnight, same thing. I figured out a low tech solution and that is simply to wait until midnight and disconnect/reconnect the battery again to get it to sync up at midnight and read the correct time. What I low-tech solution, but it should last for years or at least until I need to swap batteries again. Why spend $100 when there is such an easy solution.

2005 CLK 500 here. Had the same problem - the time is controlled by the center console unit. SERV > SYSTEM > TIME > SELECT TIME ZONE

Using Crackajimmie's advice, was able to update my clock (2005 CLK320) using the stereo setting. Once that changed, the clock on the dash console automatically updated! Thanks!
