I purchased a 2000 MB E320 with 225k. What type of synthetic oil should I use?

so far the car is great but the dashboard says B service due... Is there an A service?
is 0w40 ok? I'm new to MB
HELP pls...!

I would use 5w40 or 10w40 for either diesel or gas (petrol), especially with kind of mileage I would maybe rather use 10w40. The you probably could do is ask at mercedes dealership, I can just say we hardly ever use 0w40 for anything here. I put 10w40 On our '99 Mercedes Benz E300 Turbodiesel estate, it should work with the gas one as well.
