Unplug the coolant temperature sensor and start the engine. The check engine light or service engine soon light will be on, ignore it. The radiator cooling fans should come on immediately and at high speed. If not, check the 3 fan relays in the underhood fuse box. If they do come on, replace the coolant temperature sensor with an AC Delco sensor. GMs don't like aftermarket coolant temperature sensors for some reason. Hope that helps! Jim
