Please help

My 2000 mercedes e320 wagon gears stall when they shift.
Sometimes I press on the gas and it doesn't move, my
engine revs and my rrpm moves but nothing happens. I
have to put the car in n to shift it bac. Any one have any
idea or advice.  I kno nothing about cars

Hello, Sounds like you have a transmission issue, I would get this vehicle towed to a Mercedes repair facility and get the transmission fluid level checked.

Check the little nylon bushings on the shifter linkage. They go out after 15-20 years. Part cost is around $2 each. Installation is a real bear, but nothing challenging from a tech perspective. Don't let the little steel retaining clip get away from you during re-installation, or you will be revisiting parts of your vocabulary you forgot you have.
