Any car will run for several hundred thousand miles if properly cared for. This model year has no serious problems reported so far. However, foreign cars are usually very expensive to repair when they do have problems.
mine has 234000 km and only the only probem was some oil leaking
Well, I am retired and always dream of having a Mercedes Benz. So, I just bought a 2000 E320 Mercedes Benz with 186,560 miles with a Warranty for the Motor and Transmission. My cousin owned a Honda Accord when sold it the car had 273,000+ miles on it. I figure with good maintenance the E320 will give me many years as a second car to show up.

The E Class is MB's haymaker, and it's reliable as hell for the long haul. Having owned a few Benzes, I can relate that the front ends are lighter than most other vehicles - the E class has a remarkably small turning radius for a car its size. (European streets and garages...) The later models like 1997 onward need to have the trannies watched - closely - I replaced the tranny in my '97 Diesel at a cost of $5000. As more and more electronically controlled things creep into the vehicles, the more issues arise. Mechanically, the car should drive like a champ for 10 more years easy if you maintain it well.
Yes it has been helpful just trying to get an idea of how many more miles I can put on my 2004 E500 147,000 miles I only use Mobil 1 oil and it runs great the problem I've had is the suspension problem and a brake problem
My 300E is a dream. Fully loaded Premium 3 package with only 30k miles. I probably will never buy another car. But if I do, it’s going to be another Mercedes.
