ESP/ABS light is on

ESP lignt came on after I replaced the battery; Reading the manual, it states that the light comes on when the voltage goes below 10 volts (replaced battery, so that makes sense), but the manual also says that when voltage above 10 volts is returned, the light will go out, mine has not, it's still on...Any ideas?

My lights in my mk4 Jetta also came on after I had my battery unplugged for about 20 minutes. It ended up being the ABS fuse that blew for whatever reason. I replaced it and the light went away in a matter of 5 seconds.

COULD BE A FUSE ,VOLTAGE REGULATER, OR YOUR COMPUTER. I'AM NOT A MECHANIC. GOOD LUCK
check the fuses but sometimes you need to erase the codes, and sometimes even calibrate the steering angle sensor. have you driven the car afterwards??? put the steering wheel from center to full right and then full left. if this doesnt work you will have to use a diagnostic equipment for that.
