It should be on the rear of the engine, drivers side, on top of the bell housing. I have a ML320 and you can barely see it if you press your head against the firewall. With a V8, I have heard that you may need to change it out from beneath due to clearance problems between the rear of the engine and the firewall. Jack the front of the car up( put jack stands under it) and remove drivers side wheel. Remove inner fender liner. Remove small metal heat shield. The CPS will be visible about 3/4 way up on the rear of the motor. There is a wire going to it. best I can remember there is just 1 bolt holding it in. It is not a hard job just kinda tight to get to. Good luck.
