Coolant light on 2001 Mercedes ML430

I have a 2001 Mercedes ML430. I replace the water
pump the thermostat and the water sensor.
Temperature still rises when car is in idle.
Temperature lowers while driving. Do not know
what's wrong with the car please help

This is going to be an airflow problem. Are the radiator cooling fans coming on? Make sure the front of the radiator is not blocked by dirt, leaves, or other debris. Hope that helps! Jim

@Js08016 there is 2 fans. One connected to the serpentine belt that's connect to the engine and one connected to the radiator. I think that's the one that's not coming on. I will check it out. Thank you for your insight.
