2001 mercedes ML430 BAS/ESP AND ESP warning light

Asked by grkamo Jun 10, 2013 at 12:07 PM about the 2001 Mercedes-Benz M-Class ML 430 4MATIC

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently as I'm driving down the road, usually after an hour or so, my ESP warning
light starts to blink then my car drastically slows and pulls to the right.  When it first
happened I though I blew out my front right tire (that's how it felt).  Then my BAS/ESP
light would come on and stay on.  At first it would happen once then not happen again
for a few days.   Yesterday, after a 2 hour trip, as I am pulling into my neighborhood it
happened every few feet, then worked fine.  Does anyone know what the issue it.  I'd
like to have some knowledge before I bring it in for servicing so I can talk intelligently
about my problem and most importantly, know what they are telling me is correct.
