Batteyr location?

I am not sure , but could be either in the trunk or under the rear seat.

Check in the right side of the trunk - behind the carpet. Might have to dig a bit.

definitely right side from behind the vehicle and in the bottom of the rear wheel well.....Not usually covered......

the terminals are exposed, the battery is always covered to prevent accidents,

So many answers to the same question. Don't you know where the battery is?

Download a manual ! I am sure the MB has them on their website. You can also buy one online. Try Ebay.

There are 2 batteries: 1.)the COURTESY battery is at the very bottom of the trunk under the easily removable plastic tub forming the liner for the trunk which has holes for hand grips to pull it out. The battery's very accessible and easily charged or removed. 2.)the STARTER battery is in the engine compartment OR under the passenger floor mats is very hard to find and work on as a result. The STARTER battery should be jump started or charged from the remote terminals in the ENGINE compartment above where the passenger's feet are so ordinarily you do not need to find the batter. As to one of the above the SL's do not have a back seat!
