I manually lowered a SL500 soft top the indicator light stays on and starts to blink if car is driven what does that mean ????

indicator light stays lite when you start to drive it flashes . How
   do you  correct this problem ?

in the trunk there will be a sensor switch that must be fully depressed to show the top is properly stowed. The switch could be faulty - but more likely it just needs adjusting.
